MAC Broncos' home win streak continues

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Levi Rost scored a game-high 25 points, leading three Western Michigan players in double figures, and the Broncos extended their home-winning streak to 24 with a 76-60 win over Kent State on Wednesday night.
Rost hit 66.7 percent (8-of-12) of his shots, including seven 3-point baskets. Ben Reed and Joe Reitz each added 13 points for Western (11-3, 4-0 Mid-American), which led by as many as 29 points.
Kevin Warzynski led Kent State (10-5, 3-2) with 10 points, but that was 3.3 below his average and he was held to one rebound.
N. Illinois 74, Ohio 71
DEKALB, Ill. -- Todd Peterson scored 17 points to lead Northern Illinois.
Peterson was one of four players in double-digits for the Huskies (6-7, 2-3), who had a 35-28 lead at the half. Mike McKinney added 12 points, Cory Sims had 11 and Paige Paulsen recorded 10 for NIU.
Leading Ohio (6-6, 1-3) were Whitney Davis and Mychal Green with 15 points each.
Bowling Green 79, E. Michigan 63
YPSILANTI, Mich. -- John Reimold scored 24 points to lead four Bowling Green players in double figures and power the Falcons to a win.
Josh Almanson added 15 points; Steven Wright had 13 and Mawel Soler chipped in 12 for the Falcons (10-2, ).
Freshman Darryl Garrett scored 19 points and Markus Austin added 12 for the Eagles (9-5, 3-2).
Akron 75, Buffalo 59
AKRON, Ohio -- Romeo Travis scored 21 points and Darryl Peterson finished with 20 points and seven rebounds to propel Akron.
Bubba Walther had 10 points and Dru Joyce dished out 10 assists for the Zips (8-5,).
Mark Bortz paced the Bisons (9-4, 2-3) with 13 points off the bench.
Miami (Ohio) 71, Cent. Michigan 61
OXFORD, Ohio -- Danny Horace scored 17 points and Chet Mason narrowly missed a triple-double for Miami of Ohio.
Mason finished with 15 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists for the RedHawks (8-4, 3-1), connecting on 10-of-26 3-pointers.
Kevin Nelson had a game-high 21 points for Central Michigan (6-7, 1-4).
Toledo 77, Ball St. 67
TOLEDO, Ohio -- Keith Triplett had 16 points and Justin Ingram scored 11 of his 13 points in the second half to help Toledo.
Keonta Howell added 14 points off the bench for the Rockets (6-7, 2-2).
Terrance Chapman scored 18 points and Julien Mills had 15 for Ball State (7-5, 2-2), which committed 20 turnovers.
