The Golden Tornadoes shot 67 percent in final 20 minutes against Point Park.
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- Geneva College made 16 3-pointers in a 107-94 victory over Point Park in a men's basketball game on Tuesday night.
The Golden Tornadoes (10-7, 2-2 American Mideast Conference North) pulled away from a 44-all tie by shooting 67 percent from the floor (22-of-33) in the second half, including 8-for-11 from 3-point range.
Christian Hauser led Geneva with 24 points. Derrick Webb added seven 3-pointers and 21 points. Tim Sawyer scored 16 points, Stefan Grundberg had 15, and Nate Conley dished out 11 assists.
Brian Kennedy led Point Park (9-9, 2-2) with 29 points and 11 rebounds. Gavin Prosser had 23 points and Taz Williams 21.
Case Western Reserve 97, Thiel 89
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Thiel lost its sixth straight in a non-conference game.
Case Western Reserve (4-8) was led by Carson Oren, who finished with a game-high 26 points. Funso Lafe added 19 points and nine rebounds. Richard Mullen and Matt Cannan scored 18 and 15 points, respectively.
Joe Herrmann finished with 20 points, including a 6-of-11 performance on 3-pointers, to pace the Tomcats (4-10). Daryl Moore and Stephen Laird each scored 11, and Ross Watson and Jason Manningham each had 10.
Women
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Erin Morrow scored a team-high 10 points as Westminster defeated La Roche 70-42.
Maria Joseph added a career-high nine points for the Titans (9-4). Erica Tallo and Terese Marszalek each scored eight points. Katie Roycroft had seven rebounds and Tallo six assists.
La Roche (2-8) was led by Jenny Bibey with 15 points.
Geneva 64, Point Park 46
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- Ruth Dobos scored 11 points to lead all scorers, as Geneva improved to 8-7 overall and 3-3 in the American Mideast Conference North.
Jen Rawding added 10 points and Allyson Clark scored nine for the Golden Tornadoes. Dobos also had 10 rebounds, and Ali Cananzi had nine points.
Lynn Newson (3-9, 2-4) was led by Lynn Newson with 19 points and Dena DeJulius with 12.
