Boeheim in a league of his own
Syracuse's Jim Boeheim became the first coach with 300 Big East wins Monday.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Gerry McNamara had 22 points to lead No. 7 Syracuse to a 70-61 victory over Notre Dame on Monday night, making Jim Boeheim the first coach with 300 Big East wins.
The Irish led 57-51 when Josh Pace scored six points in a 14-0 run by Syracuse, which repeatedly scored inside. Pace started it with a 10-foot jumper and Hakim Warrick, who was sitting with four fouls when the run began, added four of his 12 points during the spurt, including a dunk on an alley-oop pass from Billy Edelin.
Notre Dame (10-3, 2-1) was 0-for-7 from the field during the run with one turnover.
It was the ninth straight win for the Orange (16-1, 3-0) in their first game this season outside the state of New York.
No. 25 Oklahoma 77, No. 12 Connecticut 65
NORMAN, Okla. -- Taj Gray scored 23 points and Lawrence McKenzie added 18 for Oklahoma, which beat the defending defending national champions for the third time in four seasons.
Kevin Bookout tipped in a miss by Gray to cap a string of three straight baskets and give the Sooners a 72-61 lead with 3:04 to play and hold off the Huskies (9-3).
Oklahoma (12-2) led by as many as 14 points in the first half.
Women
No. 18 Georgia 97, Stetson 42
ATHENS, Ga. -- Sophomore Cori Chambers scored a career-high 26 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead Georgia to a rout of Stetson.
Freshman Megan Darrah added 17 points for the Lady Bulldogs (13-4), who snapped Stetson's four-game winning streak.
Georgia put together a 6-0 run and a pair of 12-0 runs in the first half for a 51-17 lead at the break.
Stetson (5-6) shot 30 percent and committed 26 turnovers. Georgia had seven turnovers and finished 12-for-27 from 3-point range.
