ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- Even with Bracey Wright back in the lineup, Indiana wanted Robert Vaden to stay aggressive on offense.
Vaden had a career-high 18 points and the Hoosiers scored eight straight in the closing minutes to surge past Michigan 70-63 on Sunday.
The Hoosiers (12-11, 7-5 Big Ten) had lost four of its last six games, all on the road.
Wright had seven points -- 11 below his average -- on 1-of-8 shooting after missing the previous three games with a sprained ankle. Vaden, a freshman, was 6-of-11 from the field -- missing only one of five 3-pointers.
Dion Harris scored 15 points for the slumping Wolverines (12-15, 3-10) while Courtney Sims and Ron Coleman each scored 12.
Michigan has lost 10 games in a row, its longest losing streak since dropping 11 straight during the 1981-82 season.
Before the game, Michigan announced that Daniel Horton was suspended for the rest of the season. The standout point guard was indefinitely suspended on Jan. 25 after he was charged with domestic violence and on Feb. 14, he pleaded guilty.
Michigan coach Tommy Amaker, who said the decision was made by him and others at the school, told Horton on Saturday he would only be able to practice with the team for the rest of the season.
"He's not bitter. He's disappointed," Amaker said.
