Man gets sentenced on 23 rape counts

MERCER, Pa. -- A Grove City man will serve 10 to 20 years in prison for 23 counts of rape, indecent assault and related charges.
Judge John Reed of Mercer County Common Pleas Court sentenced John Lasko Jr., 41, whose address is now listed as the Mercer County Jail. The prison term will be followed by a 10-year probation, the judge said at a sentencing hearing Thursday.
The judge also said Lasko was forbidden to have any contact with the victim, her parents or her siblings. On his release from prison, he also must register as a sexual offender.
Court documents say the crimes took place at two Grove City addresses beginning in June 2003. The girl was 15.
The felony charges included four counts of rape by forcible compulsion, two counts rape by threat of forcible compulsion, two counts of statutory sexual assault, two counts of sexual intercourse or deviate sexual intercourse, three counts of aggravated indecent assault by forcible compulsion and three counts of aggravated indecent assault.
Misdemeanor convictions included three counts of indecent assault without consent, three counts of indecent assault by forcible compulsion, two counts of indecent assault of a victim less than 16 years old and one count of corrupting the morals of a minor.
