Hoyt fall scheduleinclude wine classes
NEW CASTLE, Pa.-- The Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts has released its eight-week fall class schedule.
In addition to traditional drawing, ceramics, painting and language classes, several new additions aim to please a variety of cultural interests.
Continuing the interest annually peaked with the Hoyt's Wine Festival, Majestic Wines representative Brian Hartman is offering two four-week classes in Wine Appreciation, infusing the principles of basic instruction with actual tasting at each class. Wine Appreciation I serves up an introduction to the varieties, regions, pairing and pouring of wine.
Wine Appreciation II continues that instruction with an in-depth look at the wines of California, France and Italy. A 14-year veteran, Hartman studied wines at the George Dubeuf in France.
For a copy of full class schedule, which runs from Sept. 13 to Nov. 5, call the Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts, (724) 652-2882, or visit www.hoytartcenter.org.
