LAWRENCE COUNTY Commissioners move meeting to evening



Commissioners made appointments to an investment board.

NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- The Lawrence County commissioners will have their next weekly public meeting at the Bessemer Borough Building at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
There will be no morning meeting at the courthouse Tuesday. At the evening session, among other agenda items, commissioners plan to consider distributing $10,000 in liquid fuels money to Ellwood City.
At their caucus Thursday, the commissioners announced several appointments to the West Central Workforce Investment Board.
The board is made up of individuals from Lawrence and Mercer counties and calls for each county's board of commissioners to appoint members from their individual county.
Serving terms
Individuals chosen to serve terms from Sept. 1, 2005, through Aug. 31, 2008, are: Anita Carruthers, Ellwood City Hospital personnel director; Ted Scardefield, Lawrence County Labor Council president; Tom Scott, Lawrence County Social Services CEO; and Kim Senchak, Ellwood City Forge manager of operations.
These individuals are being appointed to serve in expired terms or to replace individuals whose terms have not expired but are leaving the board. Filling terms running from Sept. 1, 2005, to Aug. 31, 2006 are: Therese McShae, business development manager for R.A.R. Engineering Group replacing Condi Augustine; Frank Telesz Jr. of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 712, replacing David Greer; David Greer of Hitter, Hackers & amp; Hoops, replacing W. Ryan Kegel; J.A. Martin, vice president of operations of IPEC, replacing Joe Myers.
Celeste J. Dute, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation district administrator, replacing Dave Householder, is to serve Sept. 1, 2005, to Aug. 31, 2007.
Jay Bruce of Bruce & amp; Merillees Electric Co., replacing Jay Campbell, and Andy Tommelleo, Lawrence County Career and Technology Center director, replacing Thomas Wildauer, are to serve from Sept. 1, 2005, to Aug. 31, 2008.
