Frost, Leson lead Crestview to 11-0 win for 2-0 mark
Five players got into the scoring act for the Rebels' boys soccer team.
EAST FAIRFIELD -- James Frost scored four goals and Cory Leson three to lead the Crestview High soccer team to an 11-0 victory over Mathews on Saturday.
Austin Elwonger scored twice and Greg Bing and Danny Jones added goal each for the Rebels (2-0-0).
Frost also had three assists while Jones and Leson had two each. Bing and Olivia Gamble also had an assist apiece.
Boardman 7, Salem 0
SALEM -- Nick Antonucci scored two goals and Bob Gratz, Bob Davis, T.J. Hosa, Anthony Grenga and Michael Callahan tallied once apiece for Boardman.
Phil Curl had two assists and Barrett Singleton, Sam Regan and Eric Bouslough each had one for the Spartans.
Salem goaltenders Justin Pash and Tyler combined for 10 saves. Boardman's Matt Moore had seven.
Poland 3, Champion 0
POLAND -- Dain Malaniak scored two goals and Matt Shurilla had one goal and one assist to lead Poland.
Blake Rhein also had an assist for the Bulldogs (2-0).

YOUNGSTOWN -- Ashley Cuba scored three goals while Jessie Toth, Sarah Anderson, Ashley Luthern and Kasey Eckman had one apiece.
Toth had two assists while Anderson, Maureen Malone, Katie Hiznay and Sam Robertson each had an assist.
Poland (1-1) goalkeepers Sam Stanich made four saves and Pam Shure three. Ursuline (0-1) goalkeeper Jolanta Carkido made seven saves.
Warren Harding 1, Newton Falls 1
WARREN--Kirsey Collins scored an unassisted goal from about 60 yards out with 10 minutes left in the first half, to pull Newton Falls into a tie at Mollenkopf Stadium.
Harding had taken a 1-0 lead on A.J. Candella's goal. The Raiders' goalkeeper, Stephanie Cross, had seven saves.
Newton Falls (0-1-2) had two goalkeepers who combined for four saves. Allison Snyder had two saves in the first half while Jessica Moser had two saves in the second half.
Girard 2, Liberty 0
YOUNGSTOWN -- Jamie Schnarrs and Kelly Meigs evenly split the scoring load for the Indians.
Chrissy Glass assisted on one of the goals.
Warren JFK 8, Pymatuning Valley 0
WARREN -- Lexie Polivka collected a hat trick and added an assist for the Eagles (2-0).
Roxy Hoerig, Mel Esposito, Maura Miller and Taylor Gee also had one goal apiece for the Eagles who opened a 4-0 lead at the break.
Also with assists were Lauren Perisa and Hoerig.
Maplewood 8, Ashtabula Edgewood 2
ASHTABULA -- Freshman Michelle Sloan scored three goals while Kristina Peterson and Tori Spencer contributed two apiece for the Rockets (1-0-2). Erika Pinko also netted a goal.
Emily Paris and Leah Dean each had two assists while Spencer and Jessica Vaughn had one each. Dean made 10 saves in goals.
For Edgewood (1-1-2), Alex DiBenetto and Crystal Thompson scored.
Canfield 2, Lakeview 0
CORTLAND -- Noelle Fox and Liz Vernal scored a goal apiece for the Cardinals (2-0) and Audra Frimpong and Nikki Sorice each had one assists.
Goalkeeper Ashley Hunter had five saves. Lindsey Mellott had 10 saves for the Bulldogs (1-2).
Fitch 5, Hubbard 1
AUSTINTOWN -- Brittney Getz had three goals while Courtney Ciavarella and Amanda Sprowl each had one goal to lead Austintown Fitch.
Tiarra Sanders, Dana Lucido and Kristi Brendlinger each had an assist for the Falcons (1-1).
Tresca Scahill scored Hubbard's goal. Hubbard goalkeeper Tina Takash made 11 saves while Fitch goalkeeper Cara Calai made six saves.

BOARDMAN -- Erin Gilmour scored on a first-half penalty kick.
Howland (3-0) goalkeeper Melissa Airhart made six saves while Boardman (0-2) goalkeeper Lani Vlad made 16.

GATES MILLS -- Eliza Slama and Erika Stevens scored for the Golden Flashes (1-0). Brittany Bako and Gina Calderone had assists. Goalkeeper Kelly Dillon made 12 saves.
