Sharpsville man receives jail time for illegal entry

Several other sentences were handed down at Mercer County Common Pleas Court.
MERCER, Pa. -- A Sharpsville man was sentenced to six to 23 months in prison Thursday for illegally entering a Hermitage residence in February.
Judge Christopher St. John of Mercer County Common Pleas Court sentenced Ryan Bittner, 23, of Koehler Drive, Sharpsville, to the term for felony criminal trespass.
Sometime in February 2005, Bittner entered a Coronado Drive residence and took 13 personal checks.
Other cases
Several others were also sentenced:
UChristopher Dencher, 40, of Pine Hollow Boulevard, Hermitage, will serve one to three years for indecent exposure. Dencher was placed on three years' probation for the violation on April 1, 2004, but probation was revoked Thursday and he was given a prison term. He had pleaded guilty to the charge in 2004 for exposing himself to a 10-year-old girl in the toy aisle of Wal-Mart, 3300 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage.
UBrian Gould, 27, address given as the Mercer County Jail, was placed on two years' probation for misdemeanor resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, a summary offense. On Feb. 21, 2005, he threatened to kill a woman and her family at a Wengler Avenue, Sharon, address. He also threw the woman down a flight of stairs and brandished a hunting knife.
USarah Kustelega, 23, of Shenango Park Road, Transfer, was placed on two years' probation for simple assault and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors. Kustelega fought Sharon police officers Jan. 25 when they tried to arrest her. She kicked one officer in the leg, and police had to use a stun gun on her. The same day, she also punched another woman and bit her in the arm at a New Castle Avenue, Sharon, address.
UAmy Runyan, 35, of Brooklyn Street, Sharon, was placed on two years' probation for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. On Feb. 5, Runyan borrowed an automobile from another woman "to run to the store" and did not return it for two days.
URogene Verroco, 45, of Rettig Drive, Hermitage, was placed on three years' probation for retail theft, a felony because it is the third or subsequent offense. Verroco stole a $200 vacuum cleaner from Kaufmann's, 3515 E. State St., Hermitage, on Jan. 15.
