Police seek public's help to catch scam artists

NILES -- City police are asking for the public's help to catch two flim-flam artists who got away with about $2,000 from an elderly woman.
Police Chief Bruce Simeone said Thursday that two female scam artists approached the 80-year-old victim around 2:30 p.m. Monday at Eastwood Mall, claiming they had found a large amount of cash and were willing to split it with her.
The con artists said they would need cash, however, to show to their attorney. After the victim gave them the money, they fled.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police, (330) 652-9944.
