Junior Military Bandseeks new members
WARREN -- The Warren Junior Military Band is looking for a few good musicians. Auditions will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 14 at Packard Music Hall. No appointment is necessary to audition. Students should bring their instruments, music stands and a piece of music they can play well; short excerpts are acceptable.
Larger instruments such as euphoniums, tubas and percussion instruments will be furnished by the band. The WJMB also furnishes some smaller instruments for members who need them.
In July, the band will tour the Rocky Mountains and play at the Breckenridge (Colorado) Music Festival.
Current band members are from middle schools, high schools and colleges. Nearly all WJMB members also play in their school bands.
Band rehearsals this fall will be Wednesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. at Packard Music Hall. Go to www.wjmb.org for more information, or call (330) 398-1643.

The Click Five: Bandclicks with music fans
The Click Five's new album, "Greetings From Imrie House," debuted this week on the Billboard Top 200 chart at No. 15 -- the highest debut by a rock band this year.
"Greetings," fueled by the quintet's hit single, "Just the Girl," features a catchy blend of retro new wave and power pop, reminiscent of such bands as Cheap Trick, the Beach Boys and The Knack. "Just the Girl" ranks as the most downloaded track on iTunes.
The album title pays homage to the band's house on Imrie Street in Boston, where the members lived while writing the album and attending Berklee School of Music.
