A summary of recent criminal activity in Poland and Boardman Township:
POLAND
Aug. 19
Forgery: A Rock Hill, S.C., man told officers 20 checks were missing from his mother's Massachusetts Avenue home.

Aug. 16
Criminal damaging: Windows on two vehicles were shattered at Greenwood Market Motor Co., 7871 Market St.
Theft: An employee at Taylor Kia of Boardman, 7975 Market St., reported a theft from a vehicle.
Identity theft: A woman in the 100 block of Ewing Road told police she was a victim.
Criminal damaging: A worker at the Hampton Inn, 7395 Tiffany Blvd., reported damage to the motel.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 7900 block of Southern Boulevard discovered a window was broken on his van.
Theft: Someone stole cigarettes from Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Breaking and entering: A woman in the 100 block of East Western Reserve Road reported being a victim.
Theft: An employee at an IGA Super Center, 223 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported money stolen from a cash register.
Criminal damaging: A man told police a friend who was intoxicated became angry and broke a neighbor's window in the 100 block of Indianola Road.
Arrest: During a traffic stop, officers arrested a Youngstown man, 22, on charges of improperly handling a gun and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Arrest: After responding to a possible road-rage situation in the township, officers arrested a Boardman woman, 22. She faced charges of menacing and criminal damaging after being accused of hitting the victim's car with her hand and threatening the victim.
Drugs: A 23-year-old Canfield man was cited during a traffic stop on a charge of possession of marijuana. Police say he had a small amount of marijuana in his vehicle's console.
Arrest: Police cited a Boardman man, 29, on one count of disorderly conduct while intoxicated.
Aug. 17
Theft: A man in the 8200 block of Market Street reported being a victim.
Identity fraud: A woman in the 400 block of Boardman-Poland Road reported being a victim.
Theft: A Terrace Drive man told police he paid $2,000 for work that was never completed.
Theft: A woman discovered someone removed a lawn sofa from her yard in the 100 block of Alburn Drive.
Thefts: Four customers reportedly left Denny's Restaurant, 154 Boardman-Canfield Road, without paying their food bills.
Theft: A woman said her purse was stolen from a shopping cart while she was at Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: A man in the 100 block of Washington Boulevard reported the theft of an animal horn and a compact-disc player from his vehicles.
Criminal damaging: A man reported his car was damaged as he drove near Walker Mill and Burgess Run roads.
Arrest: Officers took into custody a 20-year-old Austintown man on charges of failure to comply with the orders of a police officer and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
Arrest: Police arrested a 15-year-old Boardman girl on a pickup order through the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center. She faced a probation-violation charge.
Citations: Two 15-year-old Boardman girls were cited on charges of underage possession of tobacco.

Assault: A man was assaulted in the Taco Bell parking lot, 458 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Burglary: A woman in the 600 block of Cook Avenue said her apartment was broken into.
Theft: A Washington Boulevard man reported being a victim.
Theft: Someone stole items from Boardman Convenient Food Mart, 8270 Market St.
Theft: Officers charged a Youngstown boy, 13, with one count of theft. He was accused of taking two bottles of soda from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Criminal damaging: A worker at Rick Bayus Motors, 5206 Youngstown-Poland Road, reported that someone broke a vehicle's rear vent window.
Attempted theft: Someone tried to steal clothing from Dollar General, 5953 South Ave.
Burglary: A woman in the 4500 block of New England Boulevard told police someone entered her residence and fled when confronted.
Arrest: While assisting Struthers police, investigating several car break-ins, officers arrested a 17-year-old Youngstown boy after noticing a suspicious vehicle. He faced a charge of obstructing official business.
Drugs: Police arrested a 21-year-old Canfield man during a traffic stop in the township. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after officers say suspected paraphernalia was found in his car.
Arrest: A Youngstown man, 28, was apprehended and charged with receiving stolen property after officers say he confessed stealing a check. The man also was wanted on a felony warrant from Trumbull County charging him with two counts of forgery.
Arrest: Officers arrested a 36-year-old Warren man after they say he gave a false name and had alcohol on his breath when they pulled over his vehicle. Charges were obstructing official business and operating a vehicle under the influence.
Aug. 20
Arrest: Police arrested a 23-year-old Boardman man after another man alleged the suspect had sex with his 15-year-old daughter.
Theft: A motorist pumped $45.60 worth of gasoline and left a Get-Go station, 6911 South Ave., without paying.
Theft: A man in the 1200 block of Doral Drive reported that his vehicle's rear license plate was missing.
Theft: Police arrested an 18-year-old Struthers woman on a theft charge after she was accused of shoplifting clothing and jewelry from Kaufmann's in the Southern Park Mall.
Burglary: A woman in the 700 block of Annawan Lane reported her home was burglarized.
Aggravated menacing: A man in the 300 block of Shields Road told police his life was threatened.
Weapon: When police investigated a suspicious person riding his bicycle behind Value City Department Store, 1130 Boardman-Poland Road, after it was closed, they arrested a 19-year-old Sebring man. He was charged with carrying a concealed weapon after officers say he admitted having a knife in his pocket.
