WARREN -- A Sept. 19 trial date is set for Terry G. Maiorana, a businessman charged in the Trumbull County purchasing probe.
J. Gerald Ingram, attorney for Maiorana, appeared in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on Monday to set the date for his client, who is in Arizona, Ingram said.
Maiorana was indicted on a charge of grand theft in August 2004. According to the indictment, Maiorana and his company, Lid-Chem Inc. of Canfield, invoiced the Trumbull County commissioners for a floor scrubber.
Trumbull County paid Lid-Chem Inc. $6,824 for the scrubber in May 2000, the indictment states, but the scrubber cannot be found. "The date of the invoice had been changed to March 30, 2002, by Terry G. Maiorana," the indictment states.
