XCOLUMBIANA -- Mr. and Mrs. Robert T. Smith, 44936 state Route 517, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 17 at a family dinner and continued the celebration during an Alaskan cruise and land tour.
The couple's family includes Sheryl and Tom Hawkins of Columbiana and Robert J. and Perri Smith of Lisbon, five grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
The former Kathleen Chamberlain became the bride of Mr. Smith on July 17, 1955, at East Fairfield United Methodist Church, where they are members and sing in the choir.
Mr. Smith was employed by NRM and FAP, both in Columbiana, and General Motors in Lordstown.
Mrs. Smith was employed by Citizens Savings Bank, Home Savings and Loan and Citizens Banking Co., all in Columbiana.
