Photo contest needs amateurs



COLUMBIANA -- The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a photo contest during the Columbiana Street Fair on Sept. 8-10.
The contest is open to all amateur photographers. There will be three categories for adults (14 and older): Open category (any subject), animal and people.
Prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place winners in each category. First place will be a ribbon, plaque and $25; second place will be a ribbon and $15; and third place receives a ribbon.
The "People's Choice" winner, which is chosen by fair-goers, will receive a ribbon and $25. For children age 13 and younger, prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place winners. First place will receive a ribbon and a gift basket; second place will receive a ribbon and gift item, and third place will receive a ribbon.
Two other categories also included this year are computer-enhanced pictures with first place receiving a ribbon and plaque, and Columbiana Bicentennial pictures, with first place receiving a ribbon and a commemorative book.

Entry forms are available at the Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce office, located downstairs in the Sky Bank building at 1041/2 S. Main St., or at www.columbianachamber.com or at any of the following businesses: Arbogast Photography, Photos in a Flash, Bo's Pet Shoppe, Photographically Yours, Home Savings & amp; Loan and National City Bank downtown office, Sky Bank, Vivian's, Hecks Restaurant, Sitler's Florist & amp; Greenhouse, Columbiana Public Library and Farmer's Bank.
