XBOARDMAN -- Celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today with a family dinner party at Shakespeare's Restaurant in Ellwood City, Pa., are Mr. and Mrs. Harry Harker, 5326 Old Oxford Lane.
Arrangements for the festivity were made by their children, Beth Freedman of Lauderhill, Fla.; Mark Harker of Portland, Ore.; and Timothy Harker of Boardman. There are five grandchildren and one great-grandchild in the family.
Married Aug. 20, 1955, at Delason Methodist Church in Youngstown, the Harkers are members of Mount Olivet United Church of Christ, where she is also a member of the Women's Guild and he is a member of the Disaster Response Team.
Mrs. Harker retired in 1995 as a teacher's aide with Boardman Local Schools.
Mr. Harker was a maintenance supervisor with Mahoning County Joint Vocational School in Canfield prior to retiring in 1997.
