Two men stealing beer assault employee

AUSTINTOWN -- An employee of Superior Beverage was assaulted during a theft Tuesday in the parking lot of the Victoria Road business.
The employee told police he caught two men stealing 12 cases of beer from a delivery truck in the parking lot, and he confronted them.
He said the men were trying to load the beer into their car, and he told them to stop. He tried to escort one of the men back to the business, but on the way there, the second man jumped him from behind, the police reports said.
During the struggle, the employee fell down. The men got into their car and fled on Victoria Road, police said.
