Police investigate cause of Pa. fire death



GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Sheakleyville Fire Department officials are investigating the cause of a fire that killed James Hall, 48 of 28 1/2 Plum Road, Greenville.
Fire officials have no damage estimate after the fire at the O.C. Hotel at 438 Hadley Road. The Sheakleyville department was the lead fire department assisted by other neighboring departments. Pennsylvania State Police at the Mercer barracks are investigating Hall's death.
Hall died at 5:32 a.m. Tuesday in the emergency room of UPMC Horizon in Greenville. Mercer County Coroner J. Bradley McGonigle III listed carbon monoxide poisoning due to smoke inhalation as the cause of Hall's death. A ruling on Hall's death is pending with further investigation by the coroner and the state police.
