XMARCO ISLAND, Fla. -- San Marco Catholic Church was the setting as Heather Hays, 365 Cranberry Run Drive, Boardman, and Jeff Rios, 9184 Roger Scott Trail, Brighton, Mich., were united in marriage July 9 during a 3 p.m. ceremony solemnized by the Rev. Pat Broyhan.
A reception was held at the Hide Away Beach Club, then the couple left for a honeymoon at Mayan Riviera, Mexico. They live at the groom's address.
The bride is a daughter of William Hays, 136 Meadowbrook Ave., Boardman, and the late Linda Hays. The groom's parents are Victor and Joan Rios, 980 Cape Marco Drive.
Silver beading enhanced the bride's white chiffon gown. It featured an empire waist and a sweep train.
Wearing pink gowns was the honor attendant, Heather Blazo of Miamisburg, and the bridesmaids, Amanda Haase and Hillary Hays, the bride's sisters of Boardman.
Mike Foster of Potomac Falls, Va., served as best man, and groomsmen were Vic Rios of Hillsborough, N.J., the groom's brother, and Mike Shaffer of Washington, Mich.
A graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, the bride was a teacher with Canfield Schools District prior to her marriage.
The groom, a program manufacturing manager for Cadillac at General Motors Corp. in Lordstown, has been transferred to GM in Warren, Mich. He graduated from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., with a bachelor's and a master's degree in engineering.
