Grand jury indicts five people



YOUNGSTOWN -- Gregory A. White, U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, announced Monday that a federal grand jury in Cleveland has returned an indictment charging five people with drug and other charges.
The five are: Freddie Fred, aka Chito, 29, and Vivian Rosado, 31, both of 1203 N. Garland Ave.; Abdul Salame Mohamed Elamri, 41, of 692 Jacobs Road; Alex Leon, age 22, of 171 Tod Lane, and a man known only by his first name, Ralph.
Count one of the indictment charges conspiracy to distribute and possession with the intent to distribute one kilogram of heroin.
Counts two through eleven of the indictment charge various individuals with distribution of various amounts of heroin.
Count 12 of the indictment charges Freddie Fred with illegal possession of a firearm.
The investigation was conducted by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as well as officers of the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force.
