Ohio High Twelve Clubs induct Hill to office



The Austintown man and his wife also received an international award.
HAMILTON -- James W. Hill of Austintown was installed Sept. 11 as first vice president of the Association of Ohio High Twelve Clubs during a convention in Hamilton.
At the convention, Temple on the Hill 720 received a four-star award for organizing the Western Reserve High Twelve Club 731, based at the Masonic Complex in Medina. Presenting the award was state president, Thomas Bevington of Hamilton High Twelve Club 414.
Hill and his wife, Winnie, also received a five-star award for their contributions and service to the High Twelve organization. The presentation was made by Wallace McCartney of Huron, High Twelve international president.
Officer's background
Hill is the founder, past president, Masonic representative and historian of Temple on the Hill 720 of Youngstown. He is a member of Tri-County High Twelve Club 674 in Lady Lake, Fla.; Fostoria Club 676 in Fostoria; and Western Reserve Club 731 in Medina. He is a 32nd degree Mason in the Valley of Youngstown.
Hill also belongs to St. Alban's Lodge 677 of Youngstown and is a charter member of the Villages Masonic Lodge 394 in Lady Lake.
His other memberships include Youngstown York Rite Bodies, Al Koran Shrine in Cleveland, Youngstown Shrine Club, International Association of Shrine Yacht Clubs and Miriam Chapter 273, Order of the Eastern Star.
A member of Christ Church in Boardman, Hill also belongs to the International Society of Photographers in Washington, D.C.
He and his wife have five children, 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Army Engineers and is retired from work in electronics service.
