Network Council plans Fashion Prevue

Proceeds will benefit the educational funds of five ABWA chapters.
LIBERTY -- The Network Council of the Mahoning Valley, representing five chapters of the American Business Women's Association, will sponsor its annual Fall Fashion Prevue Oct. 10 at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre.
Doors will open at 12:30 p.m., and there will be a Chinese auction and raffles for a linen bench chest and handmade Amish quilt featuring lighthouses. The luncheon will be served at 2:30, and musical entertainment will be provided by Rick Blackson and Mary Jo Maluso.
The fashion show will follow. Models include Michelle Nicks of WFMJ-Channel 21, Amber Nicotra of WKBN-Channel 27, Len Rome of WYTV-Channel 33 and Lynn Davis of Cumulus Y-103 radio station. Other models will be the chapters' women of the year and scholarship recipients.
Tickets are $18 and may be obtained by calling Mary Lou Murray at (330) 533-8730 by Oct. 4.
Background
Proceeds will go to the educational fund of each chapter to provide college scholarships to area students and opportunities for member education. Those chapters are Mill Creek, O-My-O, Tri-Gold, Warren Charter and Youngstown Charter.
Founded in 1949, ABWA helps educate its members through seminars and provides opportunities for continuing education credits in the national magazine, Women in Business. The national convention is scheduled Oct. 12-17 in Richmond, Va.
