MELISSA LODWICKARON GORKIE
XNILES -- Living in Niles after a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas are Aron Gorkie and his bride, the former Melissa Lodwick, who were married at 2 p.m. Aug. 21 at St. Stephen Church.
Parents of the bride are Rudy and Nila Lodwick, 1989 Blanco Ave. The groom is a son of William and Gudrun Gorkie of Nash Street.
The Rev. John Gubser officiated, and a reception was held at St. Mary Assumption Social Center in Youngstown.
A halter-style gown encrusted with bugle beads and pearls was worn by the bride. The A-line skirt flowed to a cathedral train.
Angela Clemente was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Rachael Solida; Leslie Wallace; Jean Gorkie, the groom's sister-in-law; and Lori Wesbey, Lisa Adair and Rene & eacute; Mass, the bride's cousins. They wore black and white gowns. Saidrea Crites was flower girl.
The groom's brother, William Gorkie Jr., was best man, and groomsmen were Mike Wallace; Justin Herman; Joel Goldberg; Wayne Wallace; Doug Lodwick, the bride's brother; and Brian Polen. Ring bearer was Jake Wallace.
A student at Kent State University, Mrs. Gorkie is assistant manager at Pay Day Cash Advance in Boardman.
Her husband graduated from KSU and is a program manager at Northeast Ohio Network in Austintown.
