MACKENSEY BRUSHMICHAEL KUBINA
XYOUNGSTOWN -- The wedding of Mackensey Brush and Michael Kubina took place at 2 p.m. Oct. 9 at Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church. The Rev. Remus Bleahu officiated for the children of Leonard and Vicky Brush, 506 8th St., Struthers, and Kenneth and Patricia Kubina, 508 W. Wilson St., Struthers.
A reception was held at Stambaugh Auditorium, and the couple spent their honeymoon on a cruise to the Bahamas. They live at 12052 Bunkhouse Road, Lusby, Md.
The bride's ivory A-line gown was enhanced with pink and purple floral embroidery.
Leighann Brush was maid of honor, and matron of honor was Nicole Dinger. They wore Victorian lilac gowns. Lavender haze gowns were worn by the bridesmaids, Kristine Long, Lindsay Britt, Erica Richley and Katura Brush, and junior bridesmaids, Megan Sympson and Samantha Petruzzi. Flower girls, in lilac, were Makenzie Nasci, Makayla McCormick, Sarah Bacak, Mariah McCormick, Natalie Bacak and Kayleigh McCormick.
Best man was Joshua Miely, and groomsmen were John Young, Todd Hancock, Michael McCoy, John Richley, Maxwell Slanina and Edward Skoloda. Ring bearer was Anthony Petruzzi.
Mrs. Kubina graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and is on the therapeutic support staff at St. Anthony's Point in Sharon, Pa. Her husband holds a bachelor's in engineering from YSU and is a mechanical engineer with NAVAIR in Patuxent River, Md.
