PREP VOLLEYBALL Stevens, Roscoe propel Girard; Columbiana wins

LEAVITTSBURG -- Senior Erin Stevens had 25 assists, 10 service points, three aces and four digs as the Girard High volleyball team defeated Badger 25-4, 25-8, 25-14 in the Division III tournament Tuesday at LaBrae Middle School.
Sophomore Elise Roscoe added six kills, four digs, 17 points serving and six aces for the Indians while junior Chelsea Morrison had 12 kills.
The victory pushed top-seeded Girard (18-5) to play Ursuline Thursday at 6 p.m. in one of four Div. III sectional championships at LaBrae Middle School.

LEAVITTSBURG -- The fourth-seeded Warriors will meet CVCA on Thursday, 20 minutes following the Girard match. No other results of this match were reported.
Columbiana 30-22-25-25, United 28-25-23-21
SALEM -- The Clippers (14-7) will face East Palestine on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. United is 13-8. No other results of this match were reported.
Streetsboro 25-25-25, Mineral Ridge 17-18-23
SALEM -- Third-seeded Streetsboro (16-7) will take on Campbell on Thursday at 8 p.m. The Rams are 13-9. No other results of this match were reported.
Div. IV
LISBON -- Marysa Burchett had 13 points with three aces, and Heather Lodwick added 12 points and 20 assists as Bristol (12-9) defeated Maplewood 25-18, 25-18, 25-19 in a Div. IV match at David Anderson High.
For the Rockets (12-11), Brittney Bolinger scored nine points and assisted 19 times. Brandi Dickerson had four aces.
Sebring 25-25-25, Southington 11-16-13
LISBON -- Briana Jones paced the Trojans (7-13) with 12 points and six aces. Kayla Faundree tacked on 12 assists, 11 points and seven aces.
For the Wildcats (2-21), Amie Holko had four points and eight assists while Sarah Marsh added two points, two assists, two aces and three kills.
