Two teams of overweight contestants compete in the new reality series "The Biggest Loser" (8 p.m., NBC). Though they'll have the help of health experts and fitness trainers, they'll also be subjected to "irresistible temptations" that could prove to be setbacks as they try to lose weight.
A "13 Nights of Halloween" celebration starts with "I Downloaded a Ghost" (8 p.m., ABC Family), a movie about a girl (Ellen Page) who, after a few clicks on a Web site, finds herself with a real ghost by her side. One advantage: an authentic haunted house for her Halloween party.
The men who will star on the premiere of the reality show "He's A Lady" (10 p.m., TBS) were surprised to find that what they must do is dress like women -- right down to the high heels. But they became better men for it, according to judge Morgan Fairchild. "I think a lot of the guys learned a lot," she said. "They became much more aware of how men judge women [according to their appearance]. Along the way, they wished people would look at their character."
This week's new edition of "Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel" (10 p.m., HBO) includes a disturbing report by correspondent Bernard Goldberg about jockeys who ride camels in races that are popular in the Middle East. The report says the jockeys are young boys who have been sold into slavery and "intentionally starved to keep their weight down."
