BANQUETS
XA Vocation Day dinner and dance will be sponsored by the K. of C. Marian Council 3813 of Campbell and the Greek Catholic Union Lodge 252 on Dec. 7 at the Byzantine Center at the Grove, 3801 Shady Run Road, Youngstown. Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7. Cost is $17.50 for adults, $12.50 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. Guest speaker will be Archbishop Basil Schott of the Archeparchy of Pittsburgh. For tickets call Rev. CRAFTS/BAZAARS
XLake Milton Women's League is sponsoring its 16th annual Christmas at the Lake craft show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Catherine's Family Center, 1254 Grandview Road, Lake Milton. The event will feature crafts, baked goods, a visit from Santa, children's games, a Chinese auction, 50-50 raffle, holiday cookies and punch. A light lunch will be available for purchase. DANCES
XYoung Adult Sober Club will sponsor a Christmas dance from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday at McGuffey Center, 1649 Jacobs Road, Youngstown. The alcohol- and smoke-free event is for those 18 and over. FLEA MARKETS/BAKE SALES
XVolunteers of the Youngstown VA Clinic, Belmont Avenue, Youngstown, will hold a flea market and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 7. SPECIAL EVENTS
XMill Creek MetroParks will host Winter Celebration -- A Garden Wonderland from Sunday through Jan. 2 at Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens. Sponsored by Professional Risk Management, the event will feature winter garden scenes, floral displays, gingerbread creations and a woodcarving exhibit. On Sunday, Gardens by Candlelight will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. with candlelit tours of the gardens followed by music and refreshments in the center. No reservations are required. The center is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be closed Christmas and New Year's Day. For information call (330) 740-7116.
