ASSOCIATIONS
XA meeting of the Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will be held Dec. 8 at Antone's, 8578 Market St., Boardman. A social at 11 a.m. will be followed by luncheon at 11:45. Scholarship winners will be honored by Minnie Andrews, scholarship chairman, and Sweet Adelines will perform Christmas carols.
XYoungstown Branch of American Association of University Women will meet at 11:45 a.m. Dec. 4 at the Youngstown Club, 201 E. Commerce St., Youngstown, for its annual holiday luncheon. AUXILIARIES
XAuxiliary to Capt. Charles M. Marino Post 3, Italian-American War Veterans, 113 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will hold its Christmas party at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 8. A brief meeting will precede dinner. Cost is $7 for members and $12 for guests. For reservations call (330) 793-5213 by Wednesday.
XSandra Graves will preside for the second District 8 VFW Auxiliary meeting to be held Dec. 5 at Cross of Malta VFW Post 6730, 206 E. Ohio Ave., Sebring, with registration from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. will precede the meeting from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Auxiliaries are asked to take crochet/knit, quilted or appliqued lap robes to be judged during the break, and there will be membership transmittal pickup.
XMembers of Eagles 3298 Auxiliary, 1655 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown, will have their annual Christmas party at 6 p.m. Dec. 14. Cost is $5, and tickets may be purchased at the club no later than Dec. 7. Those attending should take a casserole and a $10 gift for exchange.
XFlora MacDonald Auxiliary will meet at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at the home of Jeanette VanBrocklin for a Christmas luncheon and gift exchange.
XVFW Post 4192 Auxiliary of Mineral Ridge will have a Christmas party from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 12 for children of the post and auxiliary members. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday. Auxiliary members are reminded to take cookies. The next meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15 at the post.
CLASSES
XMcDonald Class of 1956 will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.
CLUBS
XChapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet at noon Dec. 8 at Tippecanoe Country Club in Canfield for the annual Christmas luncheon. Officers will serve as hostesses.
XGathering of the Irish Clans will have a committee meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the AOH Hall, Southern Boulevard.

XA "Heartwarming Christmas" luncheon will be held by the Youngstown South Christian Women's Club from noon to 1:45 p.m. Dec. 9 at Antone's Banquet Centre, 8578 Market St., Boardman. The program will include "A Holiday Serenade" by soloist Rita Busin and "A Story of Hope and Love" by guest speaker Irene Moore. XA luncheon planned by Youngstown Women's Connection will begin at noon Dec. 14 at the Italian American Veterans Centre, 115 S. Meridian Road, Austintown. The program will feature A Holiday Glow by Mary Kay Amodio, music by Rochelle Joy and guest speaker Beth Kelley, who will present "A Rebellious Nature That Was Dramatically Changed." XOur Lady of Perpetual Help Church Altar and Rosary Society will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the church hall with guest speaker Dr. Jim Krumpak talking on "Aches and Pains and What Can Be Done."
XSt. Michael Altar Guild will meet Dec. 6 after the benediction at 6 p.m. for a Christmas dinner. Those attending should take a casserole; the board will provide dessert. Megan Kalasky and Friends will entertain with Christmas songs. Hostesses will be Pauline Weldon, Roxanne Hildebrand, Ann Garcia and Jerry Less.
XSt. Rose Church Quilting Group meets at 10 a.m. every Wednesday at the parish house.
XUnited Methodist Women of Richard Brown Memorial United Methodist Church will meet Thursday at the church with Eleanor Harris presiding. The executive committee will meet at 12:15 p.m., and a Christmas dinner will be served at 1 by Jo Holt and her committee. After the general meeting, a Christmas program will be presented by Karen Myers. Members should take boxes of stuffing for the Methodist Community Center. There will be no meeting in January.
XYoungstown Council of Catholic Nurses will meet for a Christmas party at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Antone's Banquet Centre, 8578 Market St., Boardman.

XOn Dec. 4 Kiwanis Division 21 of Canfield will decorate the Ronald McDonald House in Youngstown for the holiday season. The division holiday party will take place Dec. 5 at the Youngstown State University Lady Penguins' game.
SINGLES

XA meeting of the Columbiana County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society is scheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at Salem Historical Society's Freedom Hall.
