Family dinner to mark 60th year for Frank Smiths

XAUSTINTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith, 156 S. Marcia Drive, will be honored during a private family dinner Nov. 29 for the celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary.
Hosting the event will be the honorees' daughters, Claudia Allen and Marie Connell, both of Austintown, and Nancy MacFarland of Poland. Another daughter, Carolyn Breneman, is deceased.
The family also includes eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
The former Marie Fleischer and Mr. Smith exchanged marriage vows Dec. 2, 1944, at Honterus Lutheran Church in Youngstown.
The couple are members of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Smith is a homemaker.
Retiring in 1988, Mr. Smith was a construction worker at Booker Construction in Salem. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during World War II.
