Supersonics 103, 76ers 95
PHILADELPHIA -- Wide open or contested, Seattle hit 3-pointers from all over the court. Ray Allen scored a season-high 37 points, Rashard Lewis had 21 and Vladimir Radmanovic added 20, leading Seattle to its seventh straight victory. The Sonics are off to their best start since opening 10-0 in 1993. Allen Iverson scored 26 and Kyle Korver had 14 for the Sixers, who had won three in a row. Seattle, which came in with an NBA-best 58 3-pointers, shot 18-of-39 from beyond the arc, tying a team record for 3s. Allen finished 12-of-24 from the field, including 7-of-12 on 3-pointers. Radmanovic went 6-of-11 on 3s. Antonio Daniels had 19 points off the bench for Seattle, which got 41 points from its reserves. Willie Green put Philadelphia ahead 72-64 in the third quarter with a dunk off a behind-the-back pass from Iverson that went around Allen. But the Sonics answered with 13 straight points to end the quarter, taking a 77-72 lead on consecutive 3-pointers by Lewis.
Jazz 107, Bobcats 105
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Raja Bell made a 3-pointer with 18 seconds remaining and hit two clutch free throws to lead Utah. The Jazz (6-1) trailed by 22 points and needed a furious comeback to get back into the game. Bell's 3-pointer cut Charlotte's lead to 105-104, then he gave Utah its first lead on two free throws with 15.5 seconds to go. After the clock failed to start twice, Gerald Wallace missed a jumper for Charlotte. Utah got the rebound, Carlos Boozer was fouled, and made a free throw to wrap it up. Boozer led Utah with 34 points and 13 rebounds, and Bell scored 21. Keith Bogans led Charlotte with a career-high 28 points.
Hawks 88, Rockets 84
ATLANTA -- Antoine Walker had 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Atlanta rallied from an 11-point deficit in the final 6:11. Yao Ming, who had 27 points and 11 rebounds, ended Houston's 0-for-10 skid from the field with a 5-footer with 18 seconds remaining, cutting Atlanta's lead to 86-84. But Jon Barry made two free throws to seal it for the Hawks. Yao hit 13 of 15 shots, and Tracy McGrady scored 21 points, but the Rockets lost for the third time in four games.
Timberwolves 108, Heat 97
MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota's Kevin Garnett had 25 points, 21 rebounds and eight assists. He also surpassed 14,000 career points. Wally Szczerbiak added 21 points and Sam Cassell 19 for the Timberwolves. Dwyane Wade, after missing the last two games with a sprained left ankle, scored 20 of his 25 points in the first half for Miami, which got 20 points and 15 rebounds from Shaquille O'Neal.
Suns 107, Mavericks 101
DALLAS -- Steve Nash scored 17 points and had a season-best 18 assists, many setting up Amare Stoudamire's 34 points, to lead Phoenix. Nash spent six seasons in Dallas, becoming one of the most popular players in town as the Mavs became one of the NBA's top teams with him pushing the offense. He signed a six-year deal worth at least $60 million with Phoenix in July. Nash was rolling from the start, scoring or assisting on 12 of Phoenix's first 17 baskets. He opened the second half with a 3-pointer and another jumper and soon after the Suns were up by 15.
Spurs 99, Knicks 81
SAN ANTONIO -- Tim Duncan had 17 points and 10 rebounds, and began a key third-quarter burst that helped San Antonio beat New York. Tony Parker added 18 points and a season-high nine assists for the Spurs (6-1). Jamal Crawford led the Knicks with 16 and Tim Thomas had 15, but together they made only 11 of their 30 shots.
