XUPPER ST. CLAIR, Pa. -- Douglas and Clare Watkins, 459 Laredo Drive, are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Emily Dawn Watkins of the same address, and Anthony Leonard Tomaino, a son of John and Karen Tomaino, 3825 Shields Road, Canfield.
A graduate of Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pa., with a degree in elementary-early childhood education, the bride-elect is a teacher aide with Upper St. Clair School District.
The prospective groom, an assistant manager with Eat'n Park Corp., Pittsburgh, graduated from Mercyhurst with a degree in hotel, restaurant and institution management.
The couple have chosen July 9, 2005, for their open wedding at 4 p.m. in St. Louise de Marillac Church. Invitations will be issued for their evening reception at the Hilton Garden Inn at South Pointe in Canonsburg, Pa.
