BOARDMAN
June 21
Arrest: Police arrested a16-year-old Youngstown boy in the 4500 block of Grover Drive and charged him with being an unruly juvenile and a runaway.
Arrest: Police arrested a 47-year-old Youngstown man at the Mahoning County jail on felony charges of receiving stolen property and forgery. A Girard man discovered a $980 personal check had been forged and passed at Second National Bank, 6515 Tippecanoe Road.
Criminal damage: A woman in the 400 block of Rockland Drive reported $200 in paint damage to a hallway wall at a residence in the 50 block of Willow Drive.
Bad check: An employee at the Holiday Inn, 7410 South Ave., reported receiving a $123.17 check written on a closed account.
Breaking and entering: A woman in the 8100 block of Glenwood Avenue reported someone broke into her home by undetermined means and took a $170 toolbox and $50 worth of tools.
Theft: A Boardman woman reported her wallet stolen while she was at Michael's Arts & amp; Crafts, 365 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Criminal damage: A Boardman woman noticed a large dent in her truck's driver's side and a broken taillight while the vehicle was in the 7100 block of Tiffany Boulevard. Damage was estimated at $200.
Theft: Someone left Denny's Restaurant, 154 Boardman-Canfield Road, without paying a $40.68 food bill.
Arrest: Police arrested a 20-year-old man at his home in the 4200 block of Hillman Way on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and allowing underage person(s) to remain in or on the premise while consuming beer or liquor. Police responded to a party in which they say underage consumption of alcohol took place, and officers discovered a suspected glass marijuana pipe.
June 22
Arrest: A 38-year-old man was arrested at his Youngstown residence on a felony warrant charging him with five counts of passing bad checks. An employee at First Place Bank, 3900 Market St., told police five bad checks totaling $10,650 were being passed at First Place Bank locations in Boardman.
Forgery: Police arrested a 34-year-old Youngstown man at his home on one felony count of forgery after an employee at Home Savings and Loan, 4005 Hillman Way, reported a counterfeit $745.41 check had been cashed there.
Auto theft: A 1991 Oldsmobile 88 Royal was stolen from a garage in the 4000 block of Hillman Way.
Forgery: A Youngstown woman discovered a $650 check had been forged and cashed at Home Savings and Loan, 4005 Hillman Way.
Theft: Police arrested a woman, 37, and a girl, 15, both from Youngstown, on theft charges after $67 worth of clothing items was stolen from Kaufmann's in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: After a $14 CD was stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive, police charged a 17-year-old Youngstown boy with theft.
Domestic violence: A 30-year-old man was arrested at his home in the 800 block of Moyer Avenue on a domestic-violence charge after a woman at the home alleged a household member pushed her.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A woman in the 4400 block of Green Glen Drive reported her 1999 Chrysler Sebring was used without permission.
Criminal mischief: An employee at Rite Aid Pharmacy, 285 Boardman-Canfield Road, discovered $75 in paint damage to a door.
June 23
Breaking and entering: Someone pried open a door jamb and broke into Penny Pinchers Inc., 4949 Market St. A $50 cellular phone, $17 in cash and $25 worth of coins were taken.
Theft: A woman in the 100 block of Heather Creek Run discovered a $400 leaf and grass blower had been stolen from a yard in the 80 block.
Theft: An employee at Party Max, 445 Boardman-Poland Road, reported a customer rented a $330, six-foot helium tank and failed to return the item.
Theft: Someone took an Ohio dealer plate from Youngstown Buick Pontiac GMC Truck, 7997 Market St.
Theft: An Austintown man reported two cordless saws, a cordless drill and a handlight stolen from the bed of his pickup truck parked at Shelton-Mathews Chocolates, 4150 Market St.
Criminal damage: A man reported a paintball tossed at his home in the 300 block of Afton Avenue broke a front-screen window.
Theft: Police arrested a 70-year-old Biloxi, Miss., man on a theft charge after a $17 basketball shirt was stolen from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal damage: A man in the 3900 block of Sunset Drive discovered his vehicle's driver's-side window broken while the car was in front of his home. Damage was about $158.
Assault: A Youngstown woman reported being assaulted while she was at an apartment in the 100 block of Shields Road. She had a small scratch on her right arm.
Theft: Someone took a tool valued between $20 and $50 from Sears in the Southern Park Mall.
Criminal mischief: A man discovered someone tossed eggs at his townhouse in the 7200 block of Glendale Avenue.
Auto theft: A man reported his 1991 Pontiac Sunbird stolen from his mother's apartment building in the 4800 block of Glenwood Avenue.
Arson: A man in the 400 block of Ewing Road told police someone deliberately threw fireworks at his residence, causing minor lawn damage.
Theft: Police arrested a 15-year-old Columbus girl on a theft charge. She was accused of stealing $105.80 worth of clothing from Wal-Mart.
June 24
Vandalism: A man in the 4000 block of Stratford Road reported someone threw his $200 antique bird bath through a front window to his home, causing $400 in damage.
Theft/forgery: A man in the 4000 block of South Avenue reported someone took and forged a $25 check.
Vandalism: A woman in the 4000 block of Stratford Road reported her home had been vandalized. She discovered $150 worth of paint damage to a window frame, as well as damage to a pottery planter and a plant.
Bad checks: An employee at Sky Bank, 5754 Youngstown-Poland Road, reported receiving four counterfeit checks totaling $2,950, as well as three checks written on a closed account.
Breaking and entering: An employee at Penny Pinchers Inc. reported that business and Bargain Mattress, 4931 Market St., had been broken into. Someone removed some interior tiles and crawled through duct work before taking $20.
Theft: A woman in the 4100 block of Glenwood Avenue reported a $10 check stolen from her mail.
Criminal damage: A Canfield man noticed someone had used a key to cause $250 in damage to his vehicle's finish while he was at Marc's, 7121 Tiffany Blvd.
Burglary: A man reported someone broke into his home in the 700 block of Orlo Lane through the garage. An $89 drill was stolen.
Theft: An employee at Youngstown Fence Inc., 235 E. Indianola Avenue, Youngstown, reported a $350 toolbox and $300 worth of clamps, wrenches and other tools stolen from a company-owned truck parked in the 5000 block of West Boulevard.
Vandalism: Police arrested an 18-year-old Youngstown man on Chester Drive on two felony counts of vandalism after a man in the 4000 block of Windsor Road reported someone threw two bricks through his front window, causing $1,750 in damage. The suspect also was charged with two counts of aggravated trespassing and one count each of resisting arrest, criminal mischief and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Arrest: Police arrested a 27-year-old Port Isabelle, Texas, man near U.S. Route 224 and Interstate 680 during a traffic stop. Officers determined he had a stolen Ohio validation sticker in his possession.
Theft: A 33-year-old Austintown man faced a theft charge after a $65 pair of tennis shoes was stolen from the Shoe Carnival, 550 Boardman-Poland Road. He also was wanted on warrants charging him with contempt of court and failure to appear in court on a charge of driving under the influence.
Theft: Police arrested a 48-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after two pieces of safety fence valued at $40 were taken from Home Depot, 7001 Southern Blvd.
June 25
Criminal damage: A 14-year-old Youngstown boy was arrested near Overhill Drive on a criminal-damaging charge. A man in the 4000 block of Windsor Drive told police someone tossed two bricks through his front window.
Theft: A Youngstown man, 49, was charged with theft after being accused of stealing two pairs of tennis shoes valued at a total of $80 from Gabriel Bros. He also was charged with obstructing official business and possession of criminal tools, and was wanted on warrants charging him with theft and failure to appear in court.
Drugs: A 25-year-old Boardman man surrendered to police and was charged with felony possession of drugs (cocaine) and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Arrests: A woman, 58, and a man, 36, were arrested at a residence in the 1400 block of Turnberry Drive after it was discovered they were wanted on felony warrants charging them with theft and attempted theft. Also, a 49-year-old man was arrested at his home in the 4000 block of Hillman Way on a felony theft charge.
Arrests: A man, 33, and a woman, 29, both from New Castle, Pa., were arrested at Kaufmann's. The man faced charges of obstructing official business, possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property and failure to appear in court; the woman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and receiving stolen property. While investigating a theft at the business in which more than $360 worth of clothes was stolen, police discovered additional stolen property in the suspects' vehicle, as well as two suspected crack pipes. Also, a 31-year-old New Castle man was charged with theft and resisting arrest.
Theft: Police arrested two Youngstown boys, 15 and 16, on theft charges after an employee at Chili's Grill & amp; Bar, 7403 Market St., reported a $35.68 food bill was not paid.
Arrest: Police arrested a 36-year-old woman at her Youngstown home on a felony warrant charging her with one count each of receiving stolen property and forgery. Another Youngstown woman reported someone forged a $131.88 check at Home Savings and Loan, 4005 Hillman Way.
Theft: Police arrested a 19-year-old Austintown man in the 6000 block of Mahoning Avenue on a warrant charging him with theft. He was accused of taking two $40 pairs of tennis shoes from Gabriel Bros.
Arrest: Police arrested a 32-year-old Philadelphia woman in the Kmart parking lot, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road on felony charges of receiving stolen property and forgery, as well as misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, theft and misuse of a credit card. A Warren woman reported her wallet stolen while she was at Value City Department Store, 1130 Boardman-Poland Road, and police later discovered the other offenses.
Drugs: A Youngstown woman, 43, surrendered to police and was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Theft: A Campbell woman reported her purse stolen while she was at Aldi's, 6131 South Ave.
Criminal mischief: A Boardman man noticed someone had used a key to damage his car's finish after he came out of Buffalo Wild Wings in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A Boardman woman reported $250, numerous credit cards and other items stolen from her when she was at the Dollar Tree, 541 Boardman-Poland Road.
Breaking and entering: Someone forced a window from its frame and broke into Peskin Sign Co., 3991 Simon Road. Seven 4-foot-by-8-foot sheets of aluminum worth a total of $560 were stolen.
Criminal damage: A woman discovered a rear basement door window broken at her home in the 100 block of Jeanette Drive. Damage was estimated at $250.
Theft/criminal damage: A Youngstown woman reported her vehicle's driver's-side door damaged, and a $200 in-dash CD player and a CD stolen, while she was at Jillian's Entertainment in the Southern Park Mall.
June 26
Theft: An employee at Boardman Nissan Inc., 7809 Market St., discovered a customer's car had been broken into. An in-dash stereo was taken.
Theft: Someone broke into and removed a $500 in-dash stereo from a vehicle for sale at Stadium Volkswagen, 7850 Market St. About $650 in damage was done to the car's driver's-side door lock and handle, as well as a passenger-side window.
Theft: A woman noticed four lawn decorations worth a total of $475 had been removed from her yard in the 100 block of Melrose Avenue.
Theft: An employee at Burlington Coat Factory, 461 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported a theft. It was undetermined what had been stolen.
Burglary: A woman reported her residence in the 4000 block of Hillman Way broken into, and a $500 entertainment center stolen.
June 27
Arrest: Police arrested an 18-year-old Youngstown man in the 600 block of Angiline Drive on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, operating a vehicle while under the influence and underage possession of alcohol.
Burglary: A man in the 700 block of Maple Avenue discovered someone broke in through a first-floor side door.
Criminal damage: A Youngstown man discovered damage to his vehicle's windshield wiper blade and noticed a dent on the car's hood while he was on Tippecanoe Road.
Theft by deception: A man and a woman, both 27 and both from Youngstown, were arrested on theft-by-deception charges after a Wal-Mart employee called police to report someone returned an $80 cookware set and a $25 sheet set by fraudulent means.
Truck theft: A 1994 Ford F-250 was stolen from the Billet Landscape parking lot, 188 Palestine Ave.
Theft: A man discovered a $100, 3-foot Civil War statue had been removed from his back yard in the 100 block of Melrose Avenue.
Arrests: Police arrested two 19-year-old Boardman men in the 5000 block of Aravesta Avenue. One was charged with underage possession of alcohol and the other faced a charge of underage possession of beer after police say they saw the two in possession of four cans of beer.
Domestic violence: A 22-year-old man was arrested at his home in the 4000 block of Baymar Drive and charged with domestic violence after a woman reported being the victim of domestic-violence threats there.
POLAND
June 21
Arrest: After stopping a vehicle in the Poland Post Office parking lot on U.S. Route 224, police arrested a 33-year-old New Castle, Pa., man wanted on a warrant charging him with receiving stolen property.
Drugs: After his vehicle was pulled over for having a loud stereo, police cited a 24-year-old New Castle on a misdemeanor drug-abuse charge. Police say he admitted having smoked marijuana and that he gave them a cigar wrapper containing suspected marijuana residue.
