Britney can't dance: Britney Spears won't be gyrating in revealing outfits this summer -- at least not on stage. The pop star canceled her summer tour Tuesday because of a knee injury she suffered last week during a video shoot with Snoop Dogg in New York for her new song "Outrageous." Her knee gave out during the choreography and afterward she underwent arthroscopic surgery. As a result, she'll be wearing a hard brace for six weeks and will require at least two months of rehabilitation, according to a statement from her label, Jive Records. Spears was scheduled to begin the summer leg of her North American tour, which featured plenty of choreographed dance numbers, June 22 in Hartford, Conn. It was to end in Bakersfield, Calif. This isn't Spears' first injury. The 22-year-old was forced to cancel two shows in March because of a problem with her knee.
Pulled the plug: The Music of Led Zeppelin: A Rock Symphony scheduled for June 25, 2004 at the Chevrolet Amphitheatre has been canceled. Refunds are available at point of purchase. For information, call TicketMaster customer service at (412) 323-1919.
New location: Jazz singer-pianist Norah Jones will perform in Pittsburgh on Aug. 23, but at Benedum Center instead of Post-Gazette Pavilion in nearby Burgettstown, Pa. People who purchased tickets for the Post-Gazette Pavilion show must exchange them for new tickets. Mail them to Benedum Center, 719 Liberty Ave., Pittsburgh, PA, 15222, or call Ticketmaster at (412) 456-6666. Get refunds at point of purchase.
Postponed: The Courtney Love show, which was scheduled for June 30 at the Rock Club in Pittsburgh has been postponed. Since promoters expect the show to be rescheduled, they encourage ticket holders to hang onto their tickets.
