KERRI GRIESANDREW KORNBAU
XCANFIELD -- Kerri Anne Gries of Youngstown became the bride of Andrew Karl Kornbau of Boardman during a ceremony at 3 p.m. July 2 at St. Michael Church. The Rev. Terrence Hazel officiated for the daughter of Judy Gries of Youngstown and the son of David and Anita Kornbau of Washingtonville.
The newlyweds received guests during a reception at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman, then left for a honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico. They live in Boardman.
Escorted by her uncle, James Glenellen, the bride wore a strapless gown styled with an A-line skirt and full-length train accented by pearls and sequins.
Katie Gries of Youngstown, the bride's sister, was honor attendant. She wore a silver dress, as did the bridesmaids, Shanna Murphy of Hubbard, the bride's cousin; Shannon Durkin of Pittsburgh; and Jennifer Sevenich of Columbiana and Autumn Jarrett of New Baltimore, Md., the groom's sisters.
Serving as best man was Chad Helmick of Canfield. Groomsmen were Eric Sevenich of Columbiana and Stephan Jarrett of New Baltimore, the groom's brothers-in-law; Adam Kunkle of Marysville; and Mike Henderson of Leetonia.
Mrs. Kornbau graduated with a degree in elementary education from Youngstown State University and is pursuing a master's in elementary curriculum at YSU. She is a second-grade teacher at Eagle Heights Academy, Youngstown.
Mr. Kornbau is the sales manager at Goldstein's Furniture in Boardman. He has a degree in secondary education from YSU.
