CARISSA PLATETHOMAS WILCOX
XNEW WATERFORD -- Lake Mount Church of Christ was the setting at 2:30 p.m. June 19 for the wedding of Carissa Nicole Plate and Thomas Edward Wilcox. Parents of the couple are Leonard and Rondala Plate and Richard and Rosemarie Wilcox, all of New Waterford.
The Rev. Jason Pancake officiated, and a reception took place at The Georgetown in Boardman. The couple spent their honeymoon at Riviera Maya, Mexico, and are living in Salem.
The bride's strapless gown of white satin was designed with an asymmetrical overlay. The bodice and hem were enhanced with embroidery, beads and crystals.
Kimberly Wilhelm and the bride's sister, Dara Plate, were maids of honor. They wore orchid gowns, as did the bridesmaids, Joanna Ippolito, the groom's sister; Jessica Smith, his cousin; and Mindy Plate, the bride's cousin. Flower girls were Allyssa Ippolito, his niece, and Lauren Price, her cousin.
Sharing the duties of best man were Robert Wilcox, the groom's brother, and Bradly Smith, his cousin. Groomsmen were Lucas Ippolito, his brother-in-law, and Timothy and Sean Norris, his cousins. Justin Coppersmith, his nephew, was ring bearer, and ushers were Jerrod Plate, the bride's brother, and Richard Wilcox, the groom's brother.
Mrs. Wilcox graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in education and is cheerleading coach at Crestview High School in Columbiana.
A graduate of ITT Technical Institute, her husband is a laborer at Converse All Steel, Canfield.
