HUBBARD
Jan. 20
Criminal damage: A man in the 500 block of Dorchester Drive reported damage to his vehicle.
Jan. 22
Theft: Someone broke into a vehicle parked in the 600 block of Dresden Drive.
Jan. 23
Criminal mischief: An Austintown man reported someone slashed his vehicle's tires while he was at Section 8 Skate Park, 770 N. Main St.
Jan. 26
Arrest: Police arrested a Hubbard man on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court to face five counts of receiving stolen property.
LIBERTY
Jan. 20
Attempted theft: Someone did about $500 in damage to an automated-teller machine at Home Savings and Loan, 3500 Belmont Ave., before trying to break into it.
Jan. 21
Vandalism: An employee at the Lampost Lounge, 2948 Belmont Ave., reported several men tossed some bar stools, damaging a $300 soda fountain, a sign, a $250 metal hanging fixture and six glasses.
Felonious assault: A Youngstown woman staying at a residence in the 5300 block of Lakeview Drive reported a man came to the home, asked for another woman and threatened the victim by pulling out a semi-automatic handgun.
Criminal damage: Someone broke and tossed ice chunks at a sign posted at V & amp;V Real Estate Investments, 4944 Excellence Drive.
Jan. 22
Breaking and entering: Someone used a rock to smash a front window at Ramz Retail, 3227 Belmont Ave., before removing several pairs of shoes. The items were recovered.
Jan. 23
Breaking and entering: Someone broke a front door window at Colortyme, 3103 Belmont Ave., and removed a $193 videocassette recorder-DVD player.
Theft: A Youngstown woman alleged her 19-year-old sister took several keys from the victim's vehicle during an argument at the sister's Trumbull Court residence.
Theft: A man in the 3000 block of Frederick Street reported his car's passenger-side window broken, and 10 model trains worth about $3,800 were taken.
Theft, vandalism: An employee at Miller's Towing, 4100 Belmont Ave., discovered someone pried open a vending machine and took about $200 worth of coins and cash.
Theft: Police arrested a 16-year-old Youngstown boy on charges of theft and delinquency after one package each of sausage, pork chops, cinnamon rolls and doughnuts were stolen from Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave.
Jan. 24
Drugs: A 16-year-old Hubbard boy was arrested in the 3900 block of Belmont Avenue on charges of delinquency and drug possession. Police say they detected an odor of suspected marijuana in the car the boy was in.
Jan. 25
Burglary, assault: A Goist Street woman alleged her former boyfriend, 38, kicked in a side door to her residence and broke in. Also, a 37-year-old man at the home alleged the suspect struck him several times in the head and face. The victim had swelling above his left eye and on his forehead.
Theft: A man staying at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex, 1620 Motor Inn Drive, said he witnessed a 26-year-old man removing a $200 framed picture from a wall.
Auto theft: A 1994 Suzuki Sidekick was stolen from a residence in the 4200 block of Logan Gate Road.
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle on Logan Way for various equipment violations, police arrested a 26-year-old Niles man on a charge of driving under suspension. The man also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after officers say they found three plastic syringes and a spoon with suspected drug residue in the glove compartment.
GIRARD
Jan. 25
Criminal mischief: A woman discovered a hole in a window at her residence in the 10 block of Earl Street, likely caused by a BB or pellet gun.
Jan. 26
Criminal mischief: A woman in the 400 block of Lawrence Avenue reported someone used a BB gun to shoot her front window.
Assault: A Youngstown woman alleged a Girard man threw her to the ground, punched her and took $150 from her purse at his residence. She had bruises on her upper arms.
Jan. 27
Possible theft: An East Kline Street man reported his cellular phone lost or stolen while he was at a residence in the 100 block of Smithsonian Street.
