DISTRICT Pruski keys Maplewood past Bristol



The Rockets stayed undefeated in the Northeastern Athletic Conference.
CORTLAND -- The Maplewood High girls basketball team rolled to a 54-39 victory over Bristol on Thursday to remain unbeaten in the Northeastern Athletic Conference.
Amber Pruski had 11 points, eight rebounds and six steals for the Rockets (15-1, 8-0), while Lisa Flickinger added 10 points.
Nikita Light had 16 points and Jennifer White 18 rebounds for Bristol (6-8, 4-4).
Badger 54, Southington 36
KINSMAN -- Samantha Bonar, Tessa Bonar and Christine Miller each scored nine points for the Braves (7-8, 7-2 NAC).
Christie Sindledecker led the Wildcats (4-10, 3-4) with nine points.
Howland 63, Fitch 51
HOWLAND -- The Tigers broke away from an 8-all tie after the first quarter for a non-conference victory.
Carolyn Hanshaw poured in 25 points for Howland (6-7), while Annastacia Filippidis added 11 points.
Also for Howland, Melissa Airhart had eight rebounds and Sara Krezeczowski six assists.
Krista Mayes had 14 points and 18 rebounds for Fitch (2-14), while Danielle Storey added 11 points.
Mooney 36, Warren JFK 23
WARREN -- Gina Brunetti scored 10 points, Colleen Zajac grabbed eight rebounds and Amber Bodrick had six rebounds and five steals for the Cardinals (5-9).
Aarika Knepp led the Eagles (6-6) with eight points.
Beaver Local 57, Wilson 32
YOUNGSTOWN -- Rachel McCoy scored 13 and Regina Satmare added 12 more for the Beavers (8-5).
Leslie Norwood led the Redmen (2-13) with 17 points and Rhonesa Griffin had 10 points.
