WARREN YWCA career fair to focus on health-care field

WARREN -- The Warren YWCA will host a career fair Feb. 3 for residents interested in learning more about jobs in the health-care industry.
The event runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and will include speakers who work in a variety of medical occupations.
Unemployed or underemployed adults and recent or soon-to-be high school graduates are encouraged to attend. Training for many jobs is available locally. Financial aid is available, and schooling can take as little as four weeks to complete. Associate and bachelor's degrees also may be earned locally on a full- or part-time basis. Northeast Ohio HealthForce, a consortium of local universities, trade schools and health-care industry employers dedicated to increasing awareness of the need for health-care professionals, will host the event.
University and school representatives will be on hand to distribute literature and answer questions about training programs, and employers will share information about job openings and future hiring needs.
Attendees may speak with representatives individually to help formulate their career goals.
Admission is free, but seating is limited. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early or to call (330) 824-2060 to reserve a spot.
