Ohio unemployment rateincreases, numbers show
COLUMBUS -- Ohio's unemployment was 6 percent in December, up from 5.7 percent in November, based on data from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Nationwide, the jobless rate was 5.7 percent in December, down from 5.0 percent the previous month.
Ex-AK Steel presidentfiles suit against company
CINCINNATI -- The former AK Steel Corp. president says he resigned in September after the board of directors said he would be fired if he didn't step down as part of a top-management shake-up.
John G. Hritz made the claim in a filing with his lawsuit seeking at least $11.1 million in benefits he says the company owes him.
AK Steel has said that Hritz resigned in an agreement with the company's board after months of multimillion-dollar losses for AK Steel and a decline in its stock price.
