Registrations, meetings
Below are dates of registrations and/or information meetings for students entering the following schools or districts in the fall.
AUSTINTOWN FITCH HIGH SCHOOL -- Incoming freshmen, informational meeting for parents, 7 p.m. Feb. 11, at the school cafeteria. Current eighth-graders not attending Austintown Middle School should call (330) 797-3923, Ext. 2015, to enroll.
HOWLAND -- Kindergarten registration, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday at both Howland primary schools; go to the school the child will attend. Required are birth certificate, immunization record, proof of legal custody if applicable, proof of residency and a recent bill, pay stub or homeowner's insurance receipt.
LOWELLVILLE -- Kindergarten registration, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 9-13 and from 4-8 p.m. Feb. 13, at the school's main office, 52 Rocket Place. Children must be 5 years old by Sept. 30 and have all required immunizations. Required are birth certificate, Social Security number, immunization record, proof of residency and applicable proof of legal custody.
ROOSEVELT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, McDonald -- First kindergarten roundup, 9:30-11 a.m. Monday. Bring child's birth certificate, Social Security card, immunization record, proof of residency and applicable custody papers.
ST. STEPHEN SCHOOL/PRESCHOOL, Niles -- Registration from age 3; parishioners register from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 6, nonparishioners register from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 5. Required are birth certificate, baptism certificate (if not baptized at St. Stephen), Social Security number, shot/health record, applicable custody papers and $30 registration fee. YOUNGSTOWN -- Intradistrict open enrollment, parent information meetings, 4 p.m. Feb. 3 at the Chaney High School auditorium; 10 a.m. Feb. 4 at the Irene L. Ward Building district offices, 20 W. Wood St., Room 205; 4 p.m. Feb. 4 at Wilson High School cafeteria; 4 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Rayen School family readiness center in Room 110. Applications will be available at meetings or may be picked up after Feb. 5 at the Irene L. Ward Building attendance office, Room 110. Application deadline is Feb. 29.
