Feb. 1: 2 p.m. Owls and Hawks and Vultures. Heather Merrit of the Bird in Flight Sanctuary and Aimee Pico of the Lake Milton Raptor Education Center will present a program about birds of prey. See these birds up close and learn how licensed rehabilitators help them return to the wild after being sick, injured or orphaned. Held at Yellow Creek Lodge.

Did you know that George Washington Carver, the man who is referred to as "the peanut wizard," also invented more than 100 uses for the sweet potato? After hearing about the life of this inventive man, children ages 6 and older will plant cuttings of ornamental sweet potatoes and start vines from edible potatoes to care for at home. John Ritzen-Thaler, Director of Habitat Conservation at Audubon Ohio, will update us on the IBA program and explain how you can become involved in monitoring our local IBAs.
