CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Roger Powell scored 16 points and Deron Williams scored 12 points and had eight assists to lead Illinois to an 80-37 win over Penn State Wednesday night.
Powell hit six of his seven shots from the field and was 4-7 from the free throw line as the Illini (12-4, 3-2 Big Ten) won their second straight.
Aaron Johnson led the Nittany Lions (8-7, 2-2) with 15 points.
No. 21 Wisconsin 74, Michigan 63
MADISON, Wis. -- Reserve junior guard Clayton Hanson made five 3-pointers and scored 17 points for Wisconsin.
Mike Wilkinson had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Badgers (12-3, 3-1 Big Ten), who won their 23rd straight home game. Bernard Robinson Jr. had 13 points and seven rebounds to lead Michigan (10-5, 1-3), which has lost three straight.
No. 23 Purdue 72, Minnesota 65
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Brett Buscher scored six of his 10 points during a critical stretch of the second half to lift Purdue to its third straight win.
David Teague scored 18 points, including four 3-pointers, and Kenneth Lowe added 17 points for the Boilermakers (13-4, 3-1 Big Ten). Freshman Kris Humphries had 19 points and 14 rebounds for the Gophers (8-8, 0-4), who lost their third straight.
Michigan St. 73, Northwestern 61
EVANSTON, Ill. -- Maurice Ager made all six of his 3-pointers and had a career-high 24 points for Michigan State.
Ager scored 22 of his game-high 24 points in the first half, and Chris Hill added 17 points for Michigan State (8-7, 3-1 Big Ten). Paul Davis scored 14.
Jitim Young led Northwestern (7-9, 2-3) with 16 points and Vedran Vukusic had 13.
Iowa St. 84, Iowa 76
AMES, Iowa -- John Neal hit two 3-pointers and made two big defensive plays in leading a late surge that carried Iowa State.
Jake Sullivan made five 3-pointers and led Iowa State (11-3) with 23 points. Jackson Vroman had 18 points, 16 rebounds and five assists, while Curtis Stinson added 12 points and Damion Staple had 11 off the bench.
Jeff Horner hit six 3s and led Iowa (9-6) with a career-high 26 points. Brody Boyd had 14 points.
