Below is a listing of Catholic Schools Week events, as received from local schools.
Holy Family Roman Catholic School, Poland: Buddy Reading is 8:10-8:30 a.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. National Junior Beta Club meets at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church. An open all-school Mass is 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, and also that day is the distinguished service award and pupil dress-up day. Teacher appreciation lunch is 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Ice Zone ice skating is 9-11 a.m. Friday, and also that day is pupil appreciation day. Family fun night is at the school after the 4 p.m. Mass on Jan. 31.
St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic School, Austintown: Homily on value of Catholic education is Sunday. Scholastic Book Fair is Monday through Thursday. Registration for 2004-05 begins and Academic Class Albums are on display Monday. Class poems and Snow People art are displayed Tuesday. "Chilly-Chili" pupil luncheon prepared by grade six is Wednesday. Science fair judging and awards, and indoor carnival (open to the public) and an academic display are Thursday. "Thank you to pastor" day with morning assembly is Friday.
Ursuline High School, Youngstown: Wake-A-Thon Kick-Off Assembly is Wednesday. Honor Roll Breakfast is 9 a.m. Thursday. Catholic Schools Week Prayer Service is 10:15 a.m. Friday in the gymnasium. Open House is 1-3:30 p.m. Feb. 8 in the cafeteria.
