Library trustees to mullproposed strategic plan
YOUNGSTOWN -- The board of trustees of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County will consider its proposed strategic plan during a special meeting at 4 p.m. March 18 at the main library, 305 Wick Ave. The plan would reduce the system from the present 19 branches to 13 or 14 branches with expanded hours. Also on the meeting agenda will be the proposed purchase of a storefront to which the New Middletown branch, now in Village Hall, might move. The board has an option to buy the storefront at 10418 Main St. for $225,000. The meeting has been rescheduled from March 4.
