BEAVER TOWNSHIP Trustees to hold monthly meeting at park pavilion

NORTH LIMA -- Area residents planning to attend the Beaver Township trustees' regular monthly meeting in September should note the change in venue.
The township, which typically conducts its meetings at the administration office, will have its Sept. 14 meeting at the pavilion in Woodworth Park.
The meeting will start at its regular time, 6:30 p.m., after the township dedicates the newly remodeled pavilion.
The 6 p.m. dedication will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and various activities.
"A lot of work has been put into the pavilion," said Scott Conway, township park board chairman. "We thought it would be appropriate to have the dedication ceremony just before the start of the township's regular meeting."
During the past several months, the township has added new restroom facilities to the pavilion, new benches and a new brick walkway, among other features.
The work was funded, in part, by grants provided by the state and the Mahoning County Green Team, the county's recycling division.
"We're very happy with how the work has turned out," Conway said. "We want residents to use the park and its facilities, especially the pavilion, and to enjoy themselves."
