ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Dewon Brazelton pitched seven innings and Jose Cruz Jr. hit a tie-breaking homer in the sixth for Tampa Bay. Brazelton (6-4) gave up one run and five hits to improve to 6-1 at home this season. Erubiel Durazo homered for Oakland.
Angels 4, Yankees 3
NEW YORK -- Bengie Molina went 4-for-4 with a three-run homer and Kelvim Escobar outpitched Kevin Brown as Anaheim completed a three-game sweep. Gary Sheffield homered and had two RBIs for the Yankees, who lost for the sixth time in seven games.
Mariners 5, Tigers 3
DETROIT -- Willie Bloomquist hit his first homer in more than 13 months, a go-ahead three-run shot in the fifth inning, for Seattle. Gil Meche (4-5) allowed three runs and nine hits in 6 2/3 innings, helping Seattle avoid a three-game sweep.
Blue Jays 8, Orioles 5
BALTIMORE -- Eric Hinske and Vernon Wells homered, and Toronto completed a three-game sweep. Miguel Tejada went 4-for-5 with a homer, three doubles and five RBI for the Orioles.
Royals 10, Rangers 2
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Calvin Pickering drove in six runs with a grand slam and a two-run home run in his first major league appearance in almost three years to help Kansas City snap Texas' eight-game winning streak. In his previous official at-bat in the majors on Oct. 5, 2001, Pickering hit a three-run homer for Boston.
Red Sox 6, White Sox 5
CHICAGO -- Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz homered on consecutive pitches to start the eighth inning and Boston won its sixth straight. Curtis Leskanic (2-5) got one out for the win. Keith Foulke pitched a perfect ninth for his 22nd save. The White Sox lost for the 19th time in 27 games.

Cubs 11, Astros 6
HOUSTON -- Aramis Ramirez hit a three-run homer and Moises Alou also homered for Chicago. Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood, manager Dusty Baker and Houston pitcher Roy Oswalt were ejected after the right-handers plunked four players.
Phillies 9, Brewers 6, 10 innings
MILWAUKEE -- Jason Michaels' RBI single snapped a tie, and Philadelphia scored five times in the 10th inning before holding off Milwaukee to earn a three-game sweep. Gary Bennett hit a home run and drove in three runs for Milwaukee, which lost its season-high fifth straight.
Giants 3, Mets 1
SAN FRANCISCO -- Barry Bonds hit a two-run homer in the first inning to support a strong effort by Kirk Rueter. Bonds' 693rd career homer and 35th of the season highlighted a three-run first inning. Bonds is 21 homers shy of tying Babe Ruth for second on baseball's career list. Rueter (7-9) allowed five hits in seven innings, his longest outing since pitching eight on May 7.
Expos 8, Rockies 2
DENVER -- Juan Rivera homered and drove in two runs, and former Mahoning Valley Scrapper Ryan Church had three hits and two RBIs in his major league debut. Rivera was 4-for-5 with three runs scored for the Expos, whose first five runs came with two outs.
Marlins 8, Padres 3
SAN DIEGO -- Carl Pavano pitched six innings, hit a home run and drove in two runs for Florida. Luis Castillo also drove in two runs for the Marlins. Pavano is 14-5.
Braves 10, Dodgers 1
LOS ANGELES -- Chipper Jones' three-run homer capped an eight-run second inning for Atlanta. Jaret Wright (12-6) won for the 10th time in 11 decisions, allowing a run and three hits in seven innings.
Reds 11, Diamondbacks 1
PHOENIX -- D'Angelo Jimenez hit a three-run homer and Sean Casey added a solo shot and an RBI double to lead Cincinnati. Adam Dunn also hit a run-scoring double, and Darren Bragg and Ryan Freel had RBI singles for the Reds.
