MAHONING COUNTY Grand jury indicts four on sex charges



The grand jury indicted one of the men on seven counts.
YOUNGSTOWN -- A Mahoning County grand jury indicted three men on rape charges, and a fourth man on a charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor with sexual predator specifications.
The grand jury indicted Jerry London, 17, who is being housed in the Mahoning County Justice Center's juvenile pod, on a rape charge. London forced or threatened to use force against a 17-year-old to engage in sexual conduct on or about Feb. 26, according to an indictment.
Also, the grand jury indicted John Michael Helms, 41, of Sanderson Road in Campbell on four counts of rape and three counts of sexual battery.
Helms used or threatened to use force to engage in sexual conduct between Aug. 1, 2002, and Feb. 29, 2004, with a girl, who is now age 14, the indictment reads.
The grand jury indicted Theodore C. Stanley, 21, of West Boulevard in Boardman on one count of rape.
Stanley forced or threatened to use force against a 7-year-old to engage in sexual conduct on or about July 3, according to the indictment. Stanley could face life imprisonment if convicted, the indictment reads.
The grand jury indicted Jason Jayne, 25, of Afton Avenue in Boardman with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor with sexual predator specifications.
The indictment states Jayne, who is in the county jail, engaged in sexual conduct with a 13-year-old girl on or about June 8, and another 13-year-old girl June 15.
The grand jury added the sexual predator specification to the charge because they determined he is a sexually violent predator, the indictment reads.
