XJERSEY CITY, N.J. -- May 15 has been chosen as the wedding day of Linda Reine Freeman and Quincy Allen Walker, both of 145 Harrison Ave.
The bride-to-be is a daughter of George Jr. and Janice Freeman, 125 Amy Place, Cortland. Parents of the prospective groom are Thomas and Carmen Walker, 6706 Balsam Drive, Bedford Heights.
The couple will exchange marriage vows during an open-church ceremony planned for 4:30 p.m. at New Salem Baptist Church in Columbus. Invitations will be extended for an evening reception at Berwick Manor Restaurant and Party House in Columbus.
Miss Freeman is employed as the community affairs coordinator with Planned Parenthood of New York City. She earned a bachelor's degree in criminology at Ohio State University in Columbus and graduated from New School University, New York, with a master's in health sciences management and policy.
Mr. Walker is employed by John Atchison Salon in New York City as a stylist. He graduated from Hampton Roads School of Hair Technology in Norfolk, Va., and Grace School of Cosmetology in Middleburg Heights, and has a license in barbering and cosmetology. Mr. Walker also served in the U.S. Navy.
