XRAVENNA -- The engagement of Cherie R. Hart and John P. Spicer, both of 730 Woodgate Blvd., is being announced by their parents.
The bride-to-be is a daughter of Thomas and Carol Ann Hart, 475 Nebraska Ave., McDonald. The future groom is a son of John and Karen Spicer, 312 Marcella Lane, Cridersville.
The couple have selected Oct. 18 as their wedding day. They will be married during an open-church ceremony planned for 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald. Invitations will be issued for an evening reception at St. Mary Assumption Social Center in Youngstown.
Miss Hart graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in integrated life sciences. She attends Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine at Rootstown.
Mr. Spicer attended KSU. He is employed as an information technology consultant with Kitec Computer in Akron.
