TODAY
XFraternal Order of Eagles 3298, 1655 Raccoon Road, Austintown, will serve dinners from 4 to 8 p.m. All-you-can-eat fish dinners are $6.95; four-piece honey-dipped chicken dinners will be $8; pasta meals will feature all-you-can-eat spaghetti with two meatballs or rigatoni for $5; and pork chop dinners will be $7.95. Meals will include salad, a side dish of potato or pasta, and bread and butter. A variety of sandwiches for $2.50 and a children's menu also will be available. FRIDAY
XAmerican Legion Post 560, 103 Twelfth St., Campbell, will hold a fish and shrimp fry from noon to 6 p.m. at the post home. Meals include fresh ocean perch or shrimp, macaroni and cheese or french fries, coleslaw, bread and coffee. Dining-room or takeout service will be available.

Orders will be taken from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide containers.
XHoly Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod, Spanish rice or haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries, coleslaw, bread, and coffee or tea. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.
XHubbard VFW 3767 Auxiliary, 710 W. Liberty St., will hold a fish fry from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Cost is $6.75 for large dinners, baked or fried, and $5 for small dinners. XLowellville Rod & amp; Gun Club, Quarry Road, Poland, will hold a fish fry. Carryout will be available from 3 to 5 p.m., and dining in will be available from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Meals are $10.
XNational Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 Lipkey Road, North Jackson, will be serving a fish buffet and selling pirogi. The buffet will be available from 3:30 to 7 p.m., and the cost will be $9 for adults and $6 for children. Potato and cheese pirogi may be ordered ahead as a takeout. The cost is $4 a dozen.
XPotato pirogi will be sold at St. Anne Ukrainian Byzantine Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown. Call (330) 799-0084 from 1 p.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 a.m. Friday. Cost is $3.75 per dozen. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; patrons may provide their own containers and are asked to use the side entrance. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
XSt. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.
XSt. John Orthodox Church, 301 Struthers-Liberty Road, Campbell, will sell takeout cheese and cabbage haluski for $4 a quart. Walk-in orders are welcome, and advance orders will be accepted at (330) 755-1670 until Thursday. On Friday haluski orders will be accepted from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at (330) 755-2223.
XPotato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316. Orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers.
XSt. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake and sell Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at (330) 788-0025 between 8 and noon only. Pickup will be until 1 p.m.
XSt. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.
SATURDAY
XFirst Baptist Church, Eastland at Surrey Road S.E, Warren, will serve creamed turkey and biscuit dinners with all the trimmings from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children 4 to 10 and free for those 3 and under. For carryouts call the church, (330) 369-5432.
XFowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, will hold a chicken-pie dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Meals will include potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, cottage cheese, bread, dessert and beverage. Cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for preschoolers. Takeouts will be available.
XOld Springfield United Church of Christ, Route 170, New Middletown, will sponsor a chicken barbecue dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Meals are $6.50 for adults, $3.50 for children 5-12 and free to children under 5. The menu will feature baked potato, vegetable, coleslaw, roll, dessert and beverage.
XSacred Heart Church, 400 Lincoln Park Drive, Youngstown, will hold a steak fry at 4 p.m. The menu includes baked potato, salad, corn on the cob, rolls, dessert, pop and coffee. The cost is $12. For information call the church at (330) 747-6080.
XVFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve a Swiss steak dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. The event will benefit Bill Burns of New Springfield, who was in an industrial accident Aug. 13. XThe women of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 415 S. Main St., Colum-biana, will sponsor pasta dinners from 5 to 7 p.m. at Luther Hall at the church. Dinners will include penn & eacute; pasta, meatballs and sauce or marina, tossed salad, garlic bread, beverage and dessert. The cost is $5. For reservations call the church at (330) 482-2136. Proceeds will underwrite the cost of sending more than 100 quilts and health, school and sewing kits to Lutheran World Relief.
XOur Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church hall. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Carryouts will be available; containers are 75 cents or patrons can provide their own.
XPasta dinners will be served at the Shrine of Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted, 517 S. Belle Vista Ave., from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Meals include meatballs, tossed salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Containers will be provided for carryouts. XBoar's Head Ladies of St. John's Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 17 at the church. The menu will feature salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and beverage. Cost is $6, and containers will be provided for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. XLordstown Christian Church will sponsor its 22nd annual chicken dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 19 during the Lordstown Apple Cider Festival at the TCTC Adult Training Center, 1776 Salt Springs Road. The menu also includes mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable, salad, homemade desserts and beverage. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
XThe Mexican Society Club will serve monthly home-cooked Mexican dinners starting Sept. 20. Hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the society's club, 1801 Midland Ave. (formerly La Fiesta Restaurant). Choices are chile relleno, enchilada or Mexican pork dinners. Cost is $6.50.
XSt. Mark Orthodox Church, 5160 Logan Way, will hold its annual lamb and chicken roast from noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 21. The dinner also will include rice pilaf, green beans in tomato sauce, hummus, pita bread, dessert and coffee. The a la carte menu will offer kibbee, stuffed grape leaves and spinach pies.
